Filling in for Shaz, who's under the weather (get back above the weather, Shaz!)...
For those of you who might have missed my Monday post (so you six who read it, feel free to skip on by), I'm mounting a campaign--and a very low-budget one--to promote my latest, A NIGHT AT THE OPERATION, by becoming a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, a brilliant and sometimes overlooked late-night show that actually books (brace yourself) mystery authors like Laura Lippman and Lawrence Block, among others, as guests!
It's easy, and free, and you can help! Each night Ferguson reads some emails sent in to his address, craigferguson@cbs.com on the air. So if you're a fan of the Double Feature Mystery series and would like to see more, here's what you do:
Write up a very nice, very polite, complimentary email. Do NOT mention that I'm blogging about this (let them find it out for themselves), but say so if you're a fan of the show (it's really very funny) and/or the books (I think they're funny, and others have said so). Say you really appreciate seeing crime fiction authors on the show, and you're impressed they do so when so many others don't. You might mention that you're more inclined to watch when such authors are featured.
You could also--and this is entirely up to you--opine that I'd make a very funny, erudite (or just funny), entertaining guest.
And send it to craigferguson@cbs.com
I don't expect anything to come of it, but who knows? Look what a Twitter campaign did for Chuck!
