So I'm on my way to my mom's house to eat Swedish meatballs and watch the Macy's Day Parade. (Yes, I know, but that's what my family calls it.) Once Santa arrives in front of Macy's, we'll start gearing up for the stuffing and the turkey and the mashed potatoes (which my sisters had to peel yesterday, since they were already home), and the cranberry sauce (which my mom makes herself), and all that jazz.
In the meantime, though, I wanted to briefly let you know something for which I'm thankful. (Besides not ending sentences with prepositions.)
Readers, I'm thankful that you read.
Keep it up, and keep talking about the books you love. Keep gifting books to your kids and nieces and nephews, and keep using your library card. Keep supporting your local indie bookstores, and thank you. Thank you for reading.
