I met Barbara Fister at a library event a few years ago. She's a librarian at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and the author of three Chicago-based mystery novels: Through the Cracks (Minotaur, 2010), In the Wind (Minotaur, 2008), and On Edge (Dell, 2002). She's working on a fourth book as we blog.
The most recent two books star private investigator Anni Koskinen. Library Journal says Through the Cracks "will appeal to Sara Paretsky fans and mystery readers who long for tough and savvy female investigators." Sounds good to me!
