I know it has been two days, but I have to say it one more time:
WHY WOULD YOU PUT THE PIG IN THE AIR WITH SEVEN SECONDS LEFT IN A GAME WITH A KERJILLION TURNOVERS??!?!?!?!?!?
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Okay, now that I have that out of the way, what are you people doing reading this? You should be out buying BLACK RAIN, by Graham Brown. I’ll give you a minute to buy on Amazon before I continue. You won’t miss anything. Go ahead.
Ummm, really?
Just what do you think you are doing, Dave? I know you didn’t order it just now, although you took very thorough precautions in this blog against my hearing you, I could see your lips move…
(I think I am hilarious and just because of THAT you should go now to click “buy”, we’ll all wait.)
Okay, well done. You will be very happy with your purchase. Now you can join the rest of us on the blog:
So Husband is off doing whatever it is that Husband does. Maybe it’s NASA think tanking, maybe it’s animal husbandry. Who knows? Regardless, I am left to my own devices and that is never a good thing. It’s been eight days and the apartment looks like the set for a Hoarders episode on A&E. But the good news is I am reading reading reading, so if you ever wondered if you should query that scrappy agent Barbara Poelle, now is the time. If you can catch me in the “sober hours” between 9-11 am that’s an extra added bonus.
The beginning of the year is such an interesting time for me, as I am sure it is for all of you, because we are all reassessing and rebooting. I have taken a good hard look at what I need to add to my list and here is what I have come up with:
1. A spicy, amazing historical romance.
2. A literary thriller like Dennis Lehane meets The Bright Forever meets a grown man in a clown suit (you know what I mean)
3. A Creature Feature
4. A platform driven humorous non-fiction that makes ARE YOU THERE VODKA, IT’S ME CHELSEA look like something by Richard Scary
5. Dark comedic thriller with a female protagonist, like Drop Dead Gorgeous meets Guy Ritchie
Do you have any of these? Can you write them in the next 6-9 months? If so, you know where to find me.
Sigh. I messed up the linking thing, didn't I? Great. Now I have to buy Holly a beer. But you know what I mean! Just cut and paste this.

Wow - Graham's book looks fabulous. I clicked and ordered!
Being left to one's own devices can be a good thing, especiallly if Ms Dolly Hoot and Ms Shark are in tow.

What?! I'm just finishing up my edgy YA coming of age story entitled FOR BARBARA POELLE BY JAMES PATTERSON (my name appears in -.5 font on the bottom). Back to the drawing board...

Mine's coming. Although Chelsea stole my title, which is totally unfair because I drank every drop of the vodka first.
