I thought I would research librarian detectives for this week's post, but it turns out that the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and the folks at Stop, You're Killing Me have already done my work for me:

The best-known of the librarian detectives is probably Elizabeth Peters's Jacqueline Kirby, who appears in four novels: The Seventh Sinner, The Murders of Richard III, Die for Love, and Naked Once More.
Mysteries set in libraries will have to wait until next week, I think, but for now I'll just tell you: it seems that mysteries set in libraries are popular fundraising events! See: Penny Warner Library Mysteries; Ted Kavich Library Mystery Night Programs ; and Merri Mysteries!
