We sing it every year to the young and old no matter what language we speak the “Happy Birthday” song. Ever wonder where the Happy Birthday song originated from?
Two sisters, who were born in 1868 and later became educators, wrote the music and lyrics together. They first wrote the song for the classroom entitled “Good Morning to All” and was published in their songbook in 1893 called “Song Stories for the Kindergarten”. Gradually it changed and became “Happy Birthday to You” and was copyrighted by yet another Hill sister in 1935.
From the time you are a young child parties/celebrations include clowns, games, cake, family, classmates, neighbors n’ more. Each year seems to bring on a larger party than the last, that also brings with it STRESS. Why do we make Birthdays so important?
As you age, do you start reflecting on what life really means to you and what’s important? In my family, Birthdays represent the most important celebration of the year above holidays. It’s a day to be grateful for living another wonderful year and for others to celebrate having the birthday person in their life!
Tomorrow happens to be my birthday and the party begins today and goes from home to home, Restraunt to Restraunt and so on to Live, Love and Laugh!
