Having a difficult day juggling job and life so this one will be a short one.
Best Paperback Original
The Secret History of Las Vegas by Chris Abani (Penguin Randomhouse – Penguin Books)
Stay With Me by Alison Gaylin (HarperCollins Publishers – William Morrow)
The Barkeep by William Lashner (Amazon Publishing – Thomas and Mercer)
The Day She Died by Catriona McPherson (Llewellyn Worldwide – Midnight Ink)
The Gone Dead Train by Lisa Turner (HarperCollins Publishers – William Morrow)
World of Trouble by Ben H. Winters(Quirk Books)
This the final list for the Best Paperback Original category for the Edgar Awards. On that list, amazingly, is a book I acquired, The Day She Died. I am so proud to have landed a book that earned a place on this list. It is my first Edgars banquet. I bought a nice jacket, shirt, and tie. I mean seriously, did any of you think I would wear a dress?!
Next week, if all works out well, I will be travelling from NYC down to DC for Malice Domestic. I hope to have time to blog in between my chauffeuring duties. And perhaps I one of my passengers will be and Edgar Award winning author. Fingers crossed.
I'm so excited for you and Catriona! My fingers are crossed!!
