The meaning of “eve·ry·thing”
- all things; all the things of a group or class.
- The current situation; life in general.
With so much hatred, crime, and vilence going on in the world today, everything becomes of importance; a great deal. Personally I have been blessed with a tremendous amount of support, loving parents, and friends if given the choice I would have chosen them all as a family member.
In the past few days I’ve seen young children bullying each other, teens treat elders with no respect, children tell their parents to shut up and so on, and listened to a parent encourage their 9 or 10 year old child to make fun of another.
Then my thoughts turn to Donald Trump with his last few outbursts and news channel 6 just reported there is a person looking to kidnap “Bo” the president’s dog-really?, it's all enough! Disappointment has set in, as I have always BELIEVED living in the USA was EVERYTHING.
Let's take it a day at a time and start with RESPECT & KINDNESS towards others.
Yes! I have heard a five-year-old tell his parents, "Shut up! Just shut up!" in the past few days and have heard a mom egging her daughter on to make fun of a fat child (she didn't look that fat to me, but then as I have aged people have looked less "fat" or "ugly" or whatever to me, for whatever reason!) Please, America, go back to being the kind, fair, and let's-all-pull-together society we used to be. After 9/11 we pulled together and no one attacked people for silly minor stuff--we had such a UNITY. Why can't we still have that as a nation? Be kind. What does it hurt?

Cathy, please reassure me that there aren't enough people who take Donald Trump seriously to give him any real chance of becoming president. With adults like that as an example, what hope would there be of turning children into decent human beings?
