Ruth Ware is my new favorite mystery author! This book's so good. I'm gonna go back and read her first novel, In a Dark, Dark Wood, and I can look forward to her new one, The Lying Game, later this year.
The Woman in Cabin 10 is similar to the locked-room mysteries of olde, but it takes place on a luxury cruise. Lo Blacklock, our narrator, overhears a murder -- or thinks she does -- she's not sure -- and nobody on the boat seems to be missing.
I particularly like the fact that this book has "woman" in the title rather than "girl." I'm not against being called a girl, at the ripe age of 47, but the plethora of "girl" mystery novels of late is wearing a bit thin, despite the books being terrific (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train, and so on).
